Lives, works and creates from his home by the estuary at Waikuku Beach, North Canterbury. His interest in carving grew from his time of living amongst the limestone hills of Waikari, during the nineties. It was there he started to experiment in shaping and engraving words and poetry on the hard-fine stone he gathered off the land, mainly as gifts for friends.
His more recent works came through his love of storytelling, through buildings and landscapes that often offer miniature scenes within themselves and the viewers own imagination. His current works are in raw or recycled limestone sometimes combined with other natural materials.
